Nabiteeko’s Dream: Showcasing Her Craft-Making Skills on the International Stage

Agnes Nabiteeko is a renowned fashion designer and craft maker with a dream of taking her talents to the global stage. The 35-year-old mother of two learned her crafting skills at a young age from her grandmother. She began living with her grandmother at the age of five after her parents, who were struggling financially, could no longer care for her and her siblings.

After completing her primary and secondary education, Nabiteeko joined a church choir. During this time, she became part of a youth group for underprivileged individuals, where she rediscovered her passion for art, craftwork, and fashion design.

“This was a great opportunity because my grandmother had already taught me the basics of craft-making. But I knew I still had a lot to learn,” she recalls.

Over time, Nabiteeko made significant progress and turned her passion into a thriving business, combining craft-making and fashion design. Despite her success, she feels she needs more international exposure to further refine her skills.

“I have made some progress, but I feel I need more knowledge and expertise in my field. My dream is to find an international platform where I can showcase my skills and improve myself,” she shares.

Nabiteeko hopes that if given the opportunity, she will not only share her craft with the world but also learn from the international community. Her ultimate goal is to grow as an artist and bring her unique creations to a global audience.
