Party Affiliation and Departure: He notes he served his current term under the endorsement of the National Unity Platform (NUP), a party he "strongly and proudly" belongs to. However, he is now running for Parliament as an independent.

Reason for Running: Dr. Bwanika states that representation in Busiro South has been "declining over the past three terms." He believes the people "deserve better, they deserve Hope and steadfast leadership over fear and hopelessness."

Qualifications and Experience: He cites his 15 years of experience as Wakiso District Chairperson, combined with being born, raised, and residing in the area, as giving him a first-hand understanding of the constituency's challenges.

Core Mission: His central concern is the "urgent need for better and more accountable representation in the legislature that affects delivery of service."

Cultural Tribute: The release concludes with the Luganda tribute, "Ssabassajja Kabaka Awangaale" (Long Live the Kabaka).

In essence, this press release marks Dr Bwanika's transition from local government leadership to a parliamentary campaign, positioning himself as an experienced and dedicated candidate ready to provide renewed hope and effective representation for Busiro South.
