The government has issued a stern warning to arts teachers against proceeding with their planned nationwide strike.

Speaking through the Ministry of Education's Permanent Secretary, Ms Ruth Nakyobe, the government assured that the teachers' salary concerns will be addressed in the next national budget. The government also directed teachers not to abandon their schools but to remain and teach students until the official end of the term.

Speaker Among directed the Ministry of Education to provide MPs with official school guidelines for the third term, including provisions for trips and holidays.

Government launches road construction project to Bunyoro University site.

Kikuube – The government has launched a project to construct and upgrade 12.5 kilometres of roads leading to the proposed site of Bunyoro University in Buhimba Town Council, Kikuube District. The initiative, which aims to improve infrastructure ahead of the university’s establishment, was officially launched this morning by the Bunyoro University Taskforce Management Committee (TMC) and local leaders.
