KAMPALA, UGANDA – At the 14th graduation ceremony of Cavendish University Uganda, Chancellor Cavendish and the distinguished guest of honor, former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, imparted crucial advice to the new graduates, emphasizing that wisdom is the most vital asset in human life.

A growing educational crisis is unfolding in Mubende District as new data reveals 3 in 10 adolescent girls miss school monthly due to a lack of menstrual supplies. The situation has reached alarming proportions, particularly in rural sub-counties where families struggle to afford basic sanitary protection.  

Dr. Olive Sabiiti, Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda, requests government support for modern educational equipment to improve education quality for all students.


Kampala, Uganda – Dr. Olive Sabiiti, the Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda, has appealed to the government for support in securing modern educational equipment to enhance the quality of education for Ugandan students, including those with disabilities, medical students, and other learners.

Students in Uganda face harsh conditions at home and on their way to school, which negatively impact their education. Neglect and harassment, particularly for young girls, are common issues.

KASSANDA – Students across various government schools in districts such as Kassanda, Kyankwanzi, Kiboga, Mubende, and Luwero are enduring harsh conditions both at home and on their journeys to school, which severely impacts their education. Many children report facing neglect from overburdened parents and harassment during their commutes, particularly young girls who endure intimidation from men along the way.
