A group of Ugandan Subaru Forester owners have come together to organize a charity drive aimed at supporting vulnerable children and promoting Uganda's tourism sector. The group, known as Forester Owners Uganda, has planned a five-day road trip from Uganda to Mombasa, Kenya, combining adventure with philanthropy.

The charity drive will officially depart from several designated locations including Supremacy Lounge, Legacy Motors, and Merri More Arena, as explained by their president, Prossy Mbabazi. The initiative is expected to draw together car enthusiasts and philanthropists alike, as they embark on this journey to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

Joel Kashongore, the group's spokesperson, revealed that the charity will specifically benefit Makobbe School of Special Home, a facility that caters to children with special needs. In addition to supporting the school, the group aims to use the trip as an opportunity to promote Uganda's tourism potential while in Mombasa, showcasing the country's rich culture and attractions to an international audience.

Kalinda Rogers, a seasoned Subaru driver, expressed his excitement about the initiative, noting that this marks the first time the group is extending their charity efforts to children in Kenya. He emphasized that the visit will also strengthen the bond between Ugandan and Kenyan communities, as they work together to support children with special needs.

Katongole Godfrey, another member of the group, commended the initiative, stating that supporting children with special needs is a noble cause. He encouraged other car enthusiasts and well-wishers to join the cause and contribute to making the charity drive a resounding success.

The five-day road trip is expected to depart later this month, with the group promising an exciting journey filled with adventure, cultural exchange, and most importantly, giving back to communities in need.
