The year 2025 holds significant importance for East Africa, as Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania prepare to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Ahead of this major event, the region is also gearing up to host the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which is scheduled for February 2025. However, the tournament's timeline has been adjusted due to delays in preparations.

The Uganda Women’s National Football Team, the Crested Cranes, is gearing up for a crucial match against Ethiopia in the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier. The first leg of the qualifier will take place tomorrow at Nakivubo Stadium, with the return leg scheduled for November 26 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

In the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup, SC Villa secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Simba FC in a tightly contested match. The decisive moment came in the 50th minute when Aslam Ssemakula found the back of the net, delivering a crucial goal that sealed the win for SC Villa. Despite Simba FC's efforts to equalize, SC Villa's defense held firm, ensuring their progression to the next round of the tournament.
