Tickets for the four time Africa Cup of Nations winner Nigeria group match against Tunisia at the Fez Stadium on Saturday are sold out, a move that has downplayed concerns over low attendances. Â
The Super Eagles will face Tunisia in their toughest test of group C stage after both sides won their opening matches.
Nigeria's 2-1 win over Tanzania, with Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman on the scoresheet, and Tunisia's impressive 3-1 victory over Uganda both sides are level on points, the winner in Fez will all but secure qualification for the round of 16.
Confederation of African Football's Ticket information show that all three categories for the match were fully booked, with Category 1 priced at 300 Moroccan dirhams (Uganda shillings 118,813) the other at 200 Moroccan dirhams (Uganda shillings 79,209) and Category 3 at 100 Moroccan dirhams (Uganda shillings 39,604)
Sales are initially scheduled to close 24 hours before kick-off, with a maximum of two tickets per person this restriction is in line with safety and accessibility regulations.
The sell-out has raised eyebrows given the subdued crowds recorded at several matches earlier in the ACON 2025 competition.
Nigeria’s opening game against Tanzania drew an official attendance of only 11,444 seats out of 40,000-capacity Fez Stadium, while a number of other fixtures have been played in front of half-empty stands following a vibrant opening match involving the host nation Morocco.
In other Group C matches tomorrow, Uganda will play their second game against Tanzania at Omonispo Stadium in Rabat.Â
