UDINE, ITALY - Paris Saint-Germain has been crowned Super Cup champions after a dramatic victory over Tottenham in their first match of the season. The game, held in Udine, Italy, ended in a 2-2 draw, leading to a nail-biting penalty shootout that saw PSG triumph 4-3.
Tottenham took an early and commanding 2-0 lead with goals from Ven and Christian Romero. However, PSG showed incredible resilience, fighting back with two goals from substitutes to tie the game. Lescangin initiated the comeback with a precise shot, and in added time, Gonçalo Ramos levelled the score with a crucial goal following a cross from Dembélé.
With no extra time, the match went directly to a penalty shootout. The new PSG goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier, proved to be a hero, making a vital save. Nuno Mendes sealed the victory by scoring the winning penalty, securing the Super Cup title for PSG.
