Morocco Secures Third African Nations Championship Title in Thrilling Final Against Madagascar


Morocco has cemented its place in history by winning the 2024 Total Energies African Nations Championship, clinching their third title in a gripping final match against Madagascar.

The victory makes them the most successful team in the tournament's history.


The final was a tense and exciting affair, with Madagascar stunning the crowd by scoring an "opening goal of wonder"  early in the game. However, Morocco quickly regrouped, with Youssef Murray scoring a brilliant header to equalize.
Morocco then seized the lead with another goal from their leading scorer, his fifth of the tournament. A third goal from Morocco secured the victory, with the final score ending at 3-2. The hard-fought win underscores Morocco's dominance in the championship.
