President Museveni Commissions Kampala Flyover, Hands Over Project to Ministry of Works and KCCA

President Yoweri Museveni has officially commissioned the newly constructed Kampala Flyover, marking a significant milestone in the city's infrastructure development. The project, aimed at easing traffic congestion in the capital, has been handed over to the Ministry of Works and Transport and the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) for management and maintenance.

The flyover, which is part of the broader Kampala Infrastructure Development Project, is expected to improve traffic flow and reduce travel time for commuters in the city. During the commissioning ceremony, President Museveni emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure in driving economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for Ugandans.

The Ministry of Works and Transport, in collaboration with KCCA, will oversee the operation and maintenance of the flyover. The two entities have been tasked with ensuring that the structure remains in good condition and continues to serve its intended purpose.

The commissioning of the Kampala Flyover is a testament to the government's commitment to addressing the challenges of urbanization and improving transportation networks in the country. As Kampala continues to grow, such infrastructure projects are crucial in supporting the city's development and ensuring the efficient movement of people and goods.
