NRM Sets Guidelines For Party Primaries

Dr. Tanga Odoi, the chairperson of NRM’s electoral commission, has warned those who may try to use illegal means to influence voters

The electoral commission of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has announced the guidelines to be followed in the election of the party flag bearer, scheduled for the 17th of next month.
According to the party’s Secretary-General, Richard Todwong, they will not tolerate anyone attempting to participate in this election fraudulently or trying to manipulate the process.

Todwong stated that they want to ensure all participants in the flag bearer race uphold discipline, especially as the country prepares for the upcoming general elections.
However, Dr. Tanga Odoi, the chairperson of NRM’s electoral commission, has warned those who may try to use illegal means to influence voters and disrupt the process.
Tanga emphasised that party members must adhere to all regulations, including voter verification, campaign rules, and the fact that voting will begin at 6:00 AM and close at 8:00 AM, with the winner being announced by 10:30 AM.
For those worried that the election may not take place in areas with security concerns, Tanga assured that voting will proceed without interference.
Emmanuel Dombo, the NRM spokesperson, reminded members of the party’s guidelines and urged them to elect the candidate of their choice freely.
