NRM EC Nominates Philip Kakuru for CEC Entrepreneurial Vice Chairman

This is an opportunity to ensure that the voices of business innovators and job creators are heard at the highest level of our party

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission has officially nominated Mr. Philip Kakuru to compete for the position of Entrepreneurial National Vice Chairman on the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC). The nomination, which took place earlier today, clears Kakuru to campaign for the influential party role ahead of the upcoming internal elections.

The NRM Electoral Commission confirmed that Kakuru met all the necessary requirements, including party membership verification and adherence to the NRM’s electoral guidelines. His nomination now sets the stage for a competitive race as he seeks to represent entrepreneurs within the party’s top decision-making body.

In a brief statement after his nomination, Kakuru expressed gratitude to the NRM leadership and pledged to champion the interests of entrepreneurs across the country if elected. “This is an opportunity to ensure that the voices of business innovators and job creators are heard at the highest level of our party,” he said.

The position of Entrepreneurial National Vice Chairman was introduced to strengthen the NRM’s engagement with the private sector and young business leaders. Analysts suggest that Kakuru’s nomination signals the party’s commitment to fostering economic empowerment and youth inclusion in its leadership structures.

The NRM Electoral Commission has reiterated that campaigns must comply with the party’s code of conduct, warning against any form of misconduct or violation of electoral rules. The final election date for CEC positions will be announced soon, with delegates expected to cast their votes at the NRM’s National Conference.
