MUBENDE, UGANDA  – The Member of Parliament for Mubende Municipality, Hon. Masembe Deo Mujabi, has officially flagged off his constituency week, firmly stating that the focus will be on tangible service delivery rather than political manoeuvring.
The legislator, who was elected on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket, raised the party's flag to inaugurate a series of activities aimed directly at engaging with his constituents. In his remarks, Hon. Masembe drew a clear distinction between his approach and what he termed "political wars."
"In this week of ours, we are not moving around for political wars," the MP declared. "Instead, we are moving as people who are reminding the public about the things they have failed to listen to."
This statement underscores a commitment to a grassroots, issue-based outreach model. The planned activities for the week appear centred on communicating government programs and reminding citizens of their responsibilities, positioning the MP's role as that of an educator and a facilitator of development, rather than a partisan combatant.
The initiative signals a strategic effort to connect with voters through direct service and information dissemination, aiming to solidify support by addressing community needs at the most fundamental level.
