Alupo, Muhwezi Among Key Figures Cleared for NRM Primaries

Vice President Jessica Alupo, the national leader, has been cleared by the NRM Electoral Commission to compete in party primaries for Katakwi District. She will carry the NRM flag in her parliamentary race.  
 
Dr. Tanga Odoi of the NRM EC personally confirmed Alupo’s candidacy, declaring: You are now free to campaign in the NRM primaries for Katakwi.
 
Alupo passed all verification stages, including submission of academic documents. The commission confirmed: "She studied and holds qualifications to compete.  After clearance, she addressed journalists.
 
Other cleared candidates today include Privatization Minister Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi and Minister for Ethics and Integrity Hon. Akello Rose Lilly both successfully presented academic papers.
 
 
 
Cleared candidates warned of pending issues that may disrupt their campaigns this term.  
 
Dr. Tanga Odoi justified early vetting: They have national duties during Phase 2 vetting next week.  Notable defections: Former NUP member Joseph Kayembe(seeking Busiro South) joined NRM, declaring: NRM is the party that delivers good for the nation. He spoke decisively.
