Kabaka's 70th Birthday Celebrations: Ugandans Donate Blood in Nationwide Health Drive

Kampala, Uganda – As Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II marks his 70th birthday, Ugandans from all walks of life have rallied behind his long-standing call to promote health and community welfare through a mass blood donation campaign spearheaded by MTN Uganda and Uganda Blood Bank.

 Corporate Partnership: MTN Uganda partnered with Uganda Blood Bank to mobilize blood donations across Kampala, with participation from:  
   - Taxi drivers (from Old Taxi Park)  
   - Boda boda riders  
   - Kampala business communities  
   - General public  

 Kabaka’s Health Legacy: The drive aligns with the Kabaka’s enduring advocacy for improved healthcare access, a theme he has emphasized for years.  

 MTN’s Commitment:  
   - Augustine Lule (MTN Kampala Regional Manager) reiterated MTN’s dedication to supporting the Kabaka’s initiatives annually.  
   - "We don’t just celebrate; we actively contribute to saving lives." – Lule  

 Uganda Blood Bank Applauds Efforts:  
   - Daniel Mulekezi (Uganda Blood Bank) praised the Kabaka’s influence in advancing public health and thanked MTN for boosting blood donation awareness.
