President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held talks with the former President of Nigeria, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan, at State House, Entebbe.
H.E. Jonathan, who arrived in Kampala on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, officiated at the 14th Graduation Ceremony of Cavendish University Uganda (CUU), where he serves as Chancellor.
During the meeting, the two leaders reflected on the strong bilateral relations between Uganda and Nigeria and discussed opportunities to further enhance economic cooperation. H.E. Jonathan commended President Museveni for the warm reception and praised Uganda’s favorable environment for higher education institutions.
He also applauded the steady growth of Cavendish University Uganda since its establishment, noting that the institution has already applied for a charter to boost its regional competitiveness.
The meeting was also attended by government officials, representatives from the Nigerian High Commission, and other dignitaries.
