President Museveni Commissions Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub in Kigezi to Train Youths in Technical Vocations for Free

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has commissioned the Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub in the Kigezi sub-region to undertake training and retooling of youths in the region in technical vocations for free.  

The Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub, located in Kamuganguzi, Kabale District along Katuna Road, has the capacity to enroll 240 students per six-month semester. The hub will skill youths in seven key domains: building and construction, carpentry, welding and fabrication, baking, shoe making, tailoring, and salon and hairdressing.  

President Museveni stated that the initiative aims to address, among other things, the need to skill youths who have not succeeded academically, transforming them into responsible and productive citizens.
