A retired police officer, 65-year-old Kyakwaire Sipiriano, has been arrested in Kasese District for allegedly stabbing his 50-year-old wife, Night Masika, to death. The tragic incident occurred in their home in Kakone I Village, Nyakiyumbu Sub-county, on March 17, 2025.
According to reports, the couple had a heated argument after Masika returned from visiting her relatives in Mughnese Cell, Nsenyi Ward, Kisinga Town Council. The situation escalated when Masika attempted to leave the house, prompting Sipiriano to lock the doors and attack her with a knife.
Bwera Division Police Commander, SP. Tai Ramadhan, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect has been taken into custody. Police have cordoned off the crime scene and launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the murder.
