Residents Stuck with Dead Girl Brought Back from South Sudan, No Relative Traced

The residents of Bombe Bweyogerere Sub County in Kira municipality are stuck with a corpse of Grace Nakato a colleague who died in South Sudan, where she has been working.

However, the residents do not know any relative and the dead girl had no identification document.

The deceased worked as a karaoke dancer before boarding to South Sudan and suspected that she must have worked the same job while in South Sudan.

Meddie Ssegawa the area chairperson has put the blame on the residents who are reluctant to introduce themselves and get village identification cards from his office.

However, Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson confirmed that the police was informed about this case, and also noted that after failing to locate any relative the deceased will be buried in the public limbo.
