Handicapped Thug Flees From Police in Mukono

There was commotion at the DISO’s office in Mukono as a young staff allegedly a thief handicapped fled from a guard and entered a bush; a search went on for some minutes until he was uncovered.

Joel Tigawalana 23 a resident of Kabimbiri in Mukono district, captured with a backpack containing fresh vanilla, curtains, and a turkey escaped with handicaps.

The arrest came as a result of Ssebuyugo Umar a resident who informed the police after suspecting the man walking on the streets of Mukono who was about to board a taxi to proceed to another place.

Ssebuyongo narrated that he met a man walking on the street at 6:55 am and asked him to identify himself, which he failed to do, this led Ssubuyingo to take him to DISO’s office from where he escaped.

In the same way, Ssebuyongo appealed to the public to avoid mob justice, through which many lives have ended in vain, and in the same way, evidence destroyed. In addition, he encouraged people to move with identification documents for easy identification, in case of anything.

However, Tigawalana during interrogation made unconnected statements, saying that he bought the turkey from Busoga, spent a night in Lugazi. In addition, was taking the vanilla to use in his factory for jelly production as an ingredient.

The police efforts to know the names of this man were futile as he totally refused to utter them and instead started to chant that they may kill him if they want to, further said that he is ready for charged in taken to court, for certain, he is innocent.
