KCCA Worker Attacked By ‘Kifeesi’, Robbed and Crushed With Rocks

As the robbers commonly known as ‘kifeesi’ continue to defraud Ugandans in Kampala and other areas, today is morning Kampala residents woke up to a tragedy as they landed on KCCA worker who was attacked hit with rocks and ripped off of everything he had by robbers.

The victim’s name was unidentified as the thugs took all the identification documents. He was badly bleeding and unconscious for over an hour in that same place, as the rescuers tried to trace police to rush him to the hospital but all in vain.

All this happened at Entebbe road close to the junction connecting Nasser road, Nakasero and Entebbe road.

Afterward, the good Samaritans carried the victim to the boda-boda and rushed him to Nsambya hospitals as the situation worsened.

The road user stated that the road is very risky especially, the route from the queen's tower stretching to Nasser road, as many people have been attacked along the same route, especially early in the morning and at night.

The public further appealed to the police that instead of putting the focus on the opposition politicians turn attention to such areas that have turned into a den of thieves.

Amidst this chaos, police rescued a youth from the residents they suspected to be part of the thugs that brutalized the KCCA worker, who was unscrewing lights from the vehicle in Nakasero. The young man taken in by police tried to steal car lights after missing out from the loot taken from the KCCA worker.

The same man while pleading said that he is a mango seller in Nakesero market nevertheless knew not & was unknown to the market authorities.

While beating and kicking him, the vendors led the thug to the police, and after police checking, him with screwdrivers for car lights.
