Real Stars Awards Honor Lukanga of Boxing and Three Others

 

KOLOLO— Samuel Lukanga, who has dedicated 32 years to managing the sport of boxing was honored today by the Real Stars Sports Agency with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The ceremony, held at Lazo Restaurant in Kololo, recognized athletes and contributors who excelled in March 2025

Lukanga, formerly manager of the KCCA FC football team , was praised for his outstanding contributions to sports. During the event, he emphasized that boxing holds deeper cultural significance than football. 

Other honorees included: 
- Football: Paul Mucurezi (NEC FC) beat Allan Okello (Vipers SC), and Karim Ndugwa (Bul FC). 
- Rugby: Israel Makokha beat William Nkore and Joseph Aredo. 
- Boxing: Muzamir Kakande, who showcased exceptional skill in Germany and secured a victory over England’s Dan Toward in the super welterweight category outperformed competitors like Shadir Musa Bwogi and Ronald Nsamba.

The awards celebrated excellence across disciplines, highlighting Uganda’s sporting talent and legacy.
