UPDF Units and Formations to Showcase Alertness and Communication
All is set for tomorrow's CDF interface drill competition at the Kololo Independence Grounds, where the UPDF units and formations will showcase different means of alertness and communication in the military.
Â
Discipline remains the core value of the UPDf, which has moved in leaps and bounds across the region in containing bandits and insurgencies on the African continent.
Â
Army acting spokesperson Col. Chris Magezi says tomorrow's function, the first of its kind in the country, will attract all men and women in uniform from all divisions and exhibit the role of drills in military alertness.
Â
UPDF has maintained and guarded all borders since the last insurgencies of LRA leader Joseph Kony in 2005, with now few bandits in Karamoja that Magezi says they have managed to contain.
Â
The event will be presided over by the Chief of Defence Forces, also chairman Patriotic League of Uganda, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Â
The head of mobilisation, the patriotic league of Uganda, also MP Igara East, Michael Mawanda, applauds men and women of the UPDF for their steady, disciplined and peace maintained in and around the region.
Â
This, as he flagged off a team of patriots to mobilise Ugandans to attend tomorrow's function and support the gallant sons and daughters of the UPDF.
