Tension as Bigwigs Enter the Buweekula County parliamentary race

Buweekula County parliamentary race heats up ahead of the nominations next month.

Among the bigwigs in the race is, Fred Mukasa Mbidde of the Democratic Party, a former Ugandan Representative to the East African Legislative Assembly.

He aims to unseat the incumbent Member of Parliament, Pascal Mbabazi, whom he accuses of failing to support constituency.

Mbidde claims that Mbabazi has made empty promises to the people and is not a trustworthy politician.

Meanwhile, Fred Okello, the spokesperson for the Mubende veterans association, says it is time vote wisely.

Buweekula County compossed of four sub-counties that have been neglected, according to Kahitana Solomon, a representative to the Buganda Lukiiko.

Andrew Ssempijja Luweekula has asked the farmers to unite behind a single candidate who will advocate for their issues.

However, Lubega Badhir, the Mubende Municipality Member of Parliament has emphasized the need to elect a leader, not just a politician.
