Statehouse Intensifies Mobilization for President Museveni in Kampala Through Youth Programme

In a strategic move to bolster support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the Kampala region, coordinators of the Statehouse-led Youth Wealth Creation Programme have been deployed to various divisions.

The initiative, overseen by State House Controller Jane Barekye, aims to secure a decisive victory for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the upcoming elections.

The programme's coordinator, Faizol Ndese, while seeing off a team of coordinators in Nakawa Division, emphasised the grassroots nature of the campaign.

He stated that the teams will conduct door-to-door canvassing to encourage unified support for the President. Ndese highlighted that Nakawa was chosen as the launch point for this mobilisation drive because it is a key area for implementing the wealth creation agenda.

Faizo further instructed the selected coordinators to be hardworking and dedicated to the cause. He issued a stern warning, indicating that any coordinator who fails to effectively mobilise support for President Museveni will be relieved of their duties.

In addition to the political mobilisation, Faizol Ndese revealed that the groups will also be forming SACCOs. This financial initiative is designed to allow the youth to access capital for development projects, anticipating President Museveni's continued support, especially after winning the 2026 elections, which are scheduled for January.

Among those appointed is Kansiime Suzan, who will lead the NRM mobilisation team in Nakawa. Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Suzan pledged her commitment but also raised a concern. She cautioned the four team leaders under her to perform diligently, warning that she would not tolerate anyone who was not proactive and hardworking.

The deployment marks a significant escalation of the NRM's election preparedness activities in the capital city, Kampala.
