Nabirye Annet has declared her candidacy for the position of Woman Member of Parliament representing Luuka District on an NRM ticket. She was recently cleared by the NRM's Electoral Commission to contest for the NRM flag.

Following her successful clearance, Nabirye addressed the public. She stated that she is a true daughter of Luuka soil who understands the deep problems facing its people, which is why she decided to stand, aiming to serve them effectively.

Highlighting Luuka's severe challenges – including the lack of clean water, poor roads, the practice of young girls being traded off early, and inadequate healthcare – Nabirye pledged that if elected by the people of Luuka, she would work to eliminate these issues.

Annet Nabirye is contesting within the NRM party and seeks to carry the NRM flag into the parliamentary election. She believes operating under the ruling party's banner will give her the leverage needed to effectively serve the people of Luuka.
