The President emphasised that, based on his observations during his nationwide tours, PDM is making a significant impact.

President Museveni continues his nationwide tour, discussing the Parish Development Model (PDM) program. Today, he concluded his campaign for this PDM initiative in Kampala.

As part of his usual approach, whenever the President promotes PDM in a district, he meets with local journalists in that region, answering their questions about the program. Today, he engaged with journalists working in Kampala at Makage Nakasero.
Salt Media journalist Kyambadde Lawrence was among those selected to question the President about PDM operations in Kampala. He also took the opportunity to raise concerns about vulnerable groups left behind in the program.
Journalists like Paul Kakande, Mukibi Jamil Kyabasinga, Shamim Sadat Namujja, and others also asked the President various questions regarding challenges preventing people from benefiting from PDM funds.
The President spent about two hours addressing Kampala journalists, responding to every question asked in detail.
The President pledged support for the Kampala Journalists’ SACCO with 100 million shillings and promised to buy them 4 acres of land in his home district, Luwero, to help them engage in income-generating activities. He also committed to providing them with a Minibus to facilitate their work in spreading development news.
The President emphasised that, based on his observations during his nationwide tours, PDM is making a significant impact. He noted that Ugandans who have received PDM funds are experiencing positive changes in their livelihoods.
