NRM to Launch 2026-2031 Manifesto, President Museveni to Officiate

KAMPALA, UGANDA – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) will launch its manifesto for the 2026-2031 electoral cycle on September 29 at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds. The chief guest at the event will be the party's flagbearer for the 2026 presidential election.

This follows the official nomination of Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday as the NRM's presidential candidate. During the event, he will unveil his manifesto, outlining what Ugandans should expect if they re-elect him in 2026.

Earlier today, leaders from the NRM Secretariat at Plot 10, Kyadondo Road in Kampala, expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support shown by members travelling from various parts of the country to attend the manifesto launch in Kololo to celebrate their candidate.

Medina Naham, the NRM Director for Finance and Administration, while addressing the media, thanked the public for their support of the NRM and invited all party members and well-wishers to attend the event on the 29th in Kololo.

Several NRM members, including Hope Grania Nakazibwe, the Woman Member of Parliament for Mubende District, praised the President's leadership on the day of his nomination. She highlighted his efforts in infrastructure development, improving healthcare services, and other sectors.

Other members, such as Nsubuga Isa from the PLU Taskforce in Masaka District and Zepha Muhangi, an NRM mobilizer from Western Uganda, also expressed their support. They, however, presented requests to the President, seeking his intervention in specific community issues as he prepares for the next term.

Other supporters who were interviewed pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the President's victory in 2026, promising vigorous campaigns and widespread mobilisation.
