NRM Leaders Elected at District Levels

Lord mayors, city mayors, municipal mayors, and councillors gather today to strengthen the party.
In Kampala, the NRM party has secured five people to carry its flag in the Lord Mayor race. These include Mohammad Kasirye Ssendagire, Mahad Kawesa Fit, Yosam Mayambala, Thaddeus Musooke Nagenda, and Kizito Moses. Today, they are participating in elections.

In the previous polls for the William Village zone, NRM supporters had already elected Yosam Mayambala, a businessman from Kikuubo, defeating Kacita Chairperson Thaddeus Musooke Nagenda. Thaddeus Musooke received six votes, while Yosam Mayambala secured over 400 votes, with others getting none.

However, there were heated exchanges between supporters of Yosam Mayambala and Thaddeus Musooke, with both sides trading accusations.

Mayambala is still doing well in This Position, though the final results are not yet released.

Mayambala, speaking to journalists, said the process was chaotic and that if he does not win the flag, it will be unfair for him given to efforts he has invested.

In Kisenyi, Kasirye Ssendagire emerged victorious. He stated that he had not given up, despite the challenges faced in Kisenyi.

In these elections, councillors were also elected to determine who will carry the NRM flag in the 2026 general elections.

However, Bahat Aisha was leading in the Kampala Central Division race.
