Government Chief Whip Denis Hamson Obua Declared Unopposed in Ajuri NRM Primaries

The Government Chief Whip, Denis Hamson Obua, has been officially nominated and declared unopposed in the upcoming NRM party primaries for Ajuri Constituency.

The announcement, made on Thursday, June 19, 2025, by the NRM Electoral Commission, reflects Obua’s strong support in the constituency and the confidence he enjoys within the party’s structures.

This milestone marks a significant step in his political journey as the NRM intensifies preparations for the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking to the media shortly after his nomination, Hon. Obua described the development as a clear endorsement of the services delivered under the NRM government, particularly through the implementation of the party’s manifesto, which he referred to as the “social contract” with the people of Uganda.

“In Ajuri County, I have worked to deliver on key government priorities, and that is why no one contested against me on the NRM ticket,” Obua said.

He highlighted achievements in key sectors such as electricity, clean water, road infrastructure, education, and healthcare as evidence of the NRM’s impact.

“Today, I stand unopposed not just as a candidate, but as a reflection of the work we have accomplished together with the people,” he added.
