As the Muslim community prepares to celebrate this year's Eid celebrations next week, they have been urged to remain united and to stand firm in the faith
Meanwhile, Mr. Frank Bulira, who contested for the Presidency in the recently concluded 2026-2031 elections, has made his first public comments since the results were announced.
Speaking at a prayer meeting to mark the breaking off Moslem community , Mr. Frank Bulira said that to this day, he still questions the Electoral Commission's decision to deny him recognition as the candidate who secured third place in the presidential race.
The event, which had a modest turnout, was held today at his offices in Mengo, Rubaga Division.
It was at this gathering that he criticized Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu for fleeing into exile and leaving the country. He stated that by doing so, Kyagulanyi had demoralized other opposition politicians who are challenging the government.
Mr. Bulira further announced that he is now preparing to take over the mantle of leading the opposition against the government. He aims to accomplish what he claims Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu failed to do, which he says led to him fleeing the country.
Following his address, the Muslim clerics who led the prayers at the event offered special prayers for Frank Bulira, asking for the wisdom and strength to navigate the challenges ahead.
