Among and Kadaga to Vie for NRM 2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female) in Competitive Race

Kampala, Uganda – A high-stakes contest is shaping up within the National Resistance Movement (NRM) after Speaker of Parliament Anita Among and former Speaker Rebecca Kadaga were both nominated to compete for the position of 2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female).

The NRM Electoral Commission officially cleared both Among and Kadaga to contest for the influential party role, paving the way for a clash of political heavyweights. Among, positioning herself as a unifying force, pledged to mobilise grassroots support and woo opposition members to join the NRM. Kadaga, the former Speaker, brings decades of party loyalty and a strong base in the Busoga sub-region, setting up a formidable opponent.
