Government pledge for Increased Funding for Cancer Treatment

Funding has been increased for cancer treatment according to the ministry of health.

Cancer is one of the non-communicable diseases that attack body tissues.

There are cancers of the breast, blood (leukemia), brain tumor, and many others.

Hanifer Kawooya Bangirana, the State Minister for Primary Healthcare, assured the masses of government funding towards Uganda Cancer Institute.

Dr. Jackson Orem, the Director of the Uganda Cancer Institute, says Uganda has the capacity to treat cancer.

Mac Donald Mwesigwa of the Palliative Care Association says they are counseling people.
