MTN Donates to 40 Smiles Foundation, Supports Education with Technology

Mobile Telecom Network (MTN) has donated to the 40 Smiles Foundation, located in Makindye Division, by providing essential technological equipment, including computers, screens, UPS devices, and printers. This donation aims to enhance the quality of education for Ugandan children.

According to Augustine Lule, MTN’s Regional Manager for Kampala, the initiative is part of their commitment to integrating technology into education. He emphasized that MTN strives to ensure no child is left behind, especially in this digital era, as education is a cornerstone of their corporate social responsibility.

 

Penninah Nabirye, MTN’s Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, highlighted the importance of the donation, stating that it reflects MTN’s dedication to empowering communities and improving access to education through technology.

Sharifah Ahimbisibwe, the LC3 Chairperson, praised the donation, emphasizing the significant role that technological tools play in modern education. She expressed gratitude for MTN’s support, which will help bridge the digital divide and provide students with the resources they need to excel.

This donation is part of MTN’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the development of education in Uganda by leveraging technology to create a brighter future for the nation’s children.
