Transport and Development Hindered by Poor Bridge Connecting Two Sub-Counties
Residents in Kagadi District are struggling to move around following the collapse of a bridge connecting two sub-counties. This has severely affected transportation and education services in the district.
Today, the residents, led by their LC3 Chairperson, Godfrey Twinomujuni, expressed their frustration over the poor state of the bridge linking Rutete Town Council and Kagorora Sub-County in Kagadi District.
The residents highlighted that accessing essential services such as healthcare, education, and other rural services has become extremely difficult due to the bridge's condition. They have called on the government to intervene and ensure they can access these services.
Kagadi District has a significant number of poor roads, with approximately 65% of the roads in the district being in terrible condition.
