Youth Minister cautions youths to tap into opportunities at the upcoming Afro-Arab conference.
Youth Minister Balaam Barugarahre Ateenyi cautions youths to tap into the opportunities of the upcoming Afro-Arab conference, scheduled from 7th to 10th October, where more than 1,000 delegates from Islamic-speaking countries and 5 heads of state will attend.
Speaking as the organising chairman for the conference, Balaam highlighted several youth challenges that will be addressed by the delegates, including ratification of several externalisation agreements with Arab countries, handling challenges in the Labour Party's externalisation, the unemployment problem, and peace building, among others.

The chair of the Afro-Arab youths council, Abas Agaba, says the conference will launch the fundraising drive for the construction of the international headquarters on the 50 hectares donated by the patron, also president, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Special envoys shall also make reports and follow up with a special envoy, also the prime minister emeritus, Dr.Ruhakana Rugunda.
Attendance will be for members from African Arab speaking countries.
The minister also cautioned the youths on political spending ahead of the upcoming electoral year.
The 150 m USD headquarters shall have five projects
University of Science and Technology, cultural heritage and sports stadium will be part of the projects housed at the intended headquarters
The youths in Uganda between 18_30 years stand at 22.7% of the total population according to the 2024 UBOS population figures.
