Mbale Sino Park Gives Back to the Community Through Corporate Social Responsibility

Mbale city , Uganda – In a bid to strengthen its relationship with the local community, Mbale Sino Park has reaffirmed its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by giving back to residents. According to the Deputy Manager of the park, Mr. Luyi Frank, this initiative is not just a goodwill gesture but a crucial part of maintaining a strong bond between the park and the people of Mbale.
A Win-Win Partnership

Mr. Frank emphasized that CSR is at the heart of the park’s operations, stating, “It’s our corporate social responsibility and a sign of the good working relationship between the park and the community. So far, we employ over 5,000 residents from Mbale and beyond.”

Despite facing business challenges, the park remains dedicated to supporting locals. “Even when business is slow, we still give back because it’s the community that supports us,” he added.

Muslim Community Expresses Gratitude

The Muslim community, led by Regional Chairman Mr. Amedi Wadanga, praised the park for its donations, linking the initiative to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s vision of attracting investors to Uganda.

“We are very happy for the donations from Sino Park. None of this would have been possible without the wise leadership of President Museveni, who encouraged investors to come to Uganda, especially Mbale,” said Wadanga.

He further highlighted how the park has transformed lives, stating, “Many jobless youths have found employment here, enabling them to support their families and improve their livelihoods.”

Local Leaders Applaud Initiative.

Mbale City Mayor, Mr. Kassim Namugali, commended the park for its generosity, noting that such efforts make residents feel the direct benefits of having investors in their region.

“We thank Sino Park for giving back to the community. This is how locals truly benefit from such investments,” Namugali said.

He also revealed future plans to enhance worker welfare, including the construction of a primary school near the park to cater to employees’ children. “Our next step is to establish a government health center to provide free medical services to workers, given their large numbers and the strain on existing facilities,” the mayor added.

A Model for Sustainable Development

Mbale Sino Park’s CSR initiatives demonstrate how businesses can thrive while uplifting communities. By investing in employment, education, and healthcare, the park is fostering long-term growth and sustainability in Mbale—proving that responsible business practices create a brighter future for all.

As the partnership between the park and the community grows stronger, residents remain hopeful for more transformative projects that will drive Mbale’s development forward.

CSR helps create a win-win scenario: businesses gain goodwill and a stable operating environment, while communities enjoy economic, social, and environmental benefits. When companies invest in CSR, they help build stronger, healthier, and more sustainable societies.
