Government Gives Hope on the Situation of Ugandans

Government  of Uganda has revealed the number of Ugandans in Iran and other countries in the Arabian Peninsula, assuring the nation that they are safe.
 
The Senior Presidential Advisor on diaspora  Affairs, Ambassador Abbey Walusimbi, has confirmed that over 4,000 Ugandans are residing in Iran, noting that some students have already been evacuated to Turkey in the past few days .
 
He also outlined the numbers of Ugandans in the Arabian Peninsula  including Jordan, Barhrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates among others and reassured that all of them are in a safe situation despite the escalating crisis.
 
The war has entered its fifth day, with America and Israel continuing to launch missile strikes on Iran, which is also fiercely attacking American bases in the Arabian Peninsula.
 
Amb. Walusimbi has announced that they have managed to coordinate and communicate with all Ugandans, while also warning them against posting inflammatory content about this war on social media.
 
Uganda is in discussions with these countries regarding individuals whose visas have expired, to ensure they are renewed and others extended as they continue to monitor the situation.
 
Currently, Oman and Uganda have renewed their labor agreement  to allow ugandan workers legitimately work and live there as efforts are under way to bring worrying parties yo table for ceasefire.
 
He has advised all leaders involved in this conflict to sit down at the negotiation table and discuss, rather than resorting to showing off their military strength.
