Three Killed in Mbuya Shooting Incident Involving Security Guard

Police at Jinja Road are investigating a tragic shooting that occurred this morning, at the Ultimate Security Company offices in Mbuya, Nakawa Division, Kampala.

The incident claimed the lives of three individuals: Noella Zella, an Assistant Human Resource Officer; Bwampata Salez, an Armory Officer; and the suspected shooter, Mwaawa Richard, a security guard with the same company.

According to preliminary reports, Mwaawa allegedly entered the company premises and shot Noella and Bwampata before being fatally shot by responding police officers, who acted swiftly to neutralize the threat.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown and investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Luke Owoyesigire the deputy Police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan says the bodies of the deceased have been taken to City Mortuary Mulago for postmortem examinations.

Meanwhile, the firearm used in the incident has been recovered and exhibited for forensic analysis. Police have urged the public to remain calm as inquiries continue.
