Italian government has decreed three days of mourning the Pope who died on Easter Monday at the age of 88.
The Vatican has confirmed that Saturday will be the funeral for Pope Francis who has led the Catholic Church since March 2013.
Pope Francis's body will lay in state from Wednesday in an open wooden coffin for people to pay their respect.
World leaders are expected to attend Pope Francis funeral among those confirmed is President Donald Trump of the United States.
This will be President Trump's first foreign trip since becoming president for the second time on 20th January 2025.
President Javier Milei of Argentina where Pope Francis was Cardinal of Buenos Aires has declared seven days of National mourning.
The Vatican also confirmed that Pope Francis died of heart attack after going into comma on Easter Monday morning.
Pope Francis was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on 17th December 1936 in Argentina.
