Elimination of unemployment,  Mpigi focus on vocational education

Job search in Uganda has also become an occupation, which has led thousands of people to flee to foreign countries for greener pastures.


The parents and leaders in Mpigi have seen this, so they decided to focus on teaching their children vocational courses as one of the only ways to solve the unemployment in the country because the student studies as he speaks for money.


They have started a vocational training center at Kyasanku village , in Mpigi Town council, which they have named Smart vocational with the aim of helping Mpigi people to be trained in vocational skills, including sewing, hairdressing, weaving and others free of charge and some of the trainees exhibited their products.


Education officials Abdu Nasser Lubega and Hajjat ​​Salimat concluded, praising the arts and challenged the students to use the media to increase their skills instead of resorting to gossip

Sophie Mbeekeka, who is in charge of the institute, urged the government to assist them through its skilling Uganda program as the need is still great among the people of Mpigi.


Tony Kaweesa, a tailor and one of the young people who have managed to earn money in the arts, says patience and honesty are important pillars.
