Rakai MPs and Kyotera Police in a Fight over Cattle Business

There was tension in Kyotera district as a fight broke out between MPs from Rakai district and the police at the police station. The origin being Henry Karamagi a trader sought out on cattle smuggling allegation. Kalamazi caught to aid investigations on the case of 25 cows in Lukaya district allegedly stolen from Tanzania.

On reaching police, Kalamazi declared that the cows belong to him and denied allegations that the cows were smuggled from Tanzania, which prompted his arrested. This coerced MPs Boaz Kisirabo and Kinyamatama Suubi Juliet to come to police and rescue him on the basis that police arrests every cattle trader who takes cows to Kampala. The legislators upset by police & the head of investigations’ action of leaving them alone for three hours.

The police commander in greater Masaka, ordered by Kamabale arrived in order to arrest the situation.

Honorable Juliet Suubi Kinyamatama Rakai woman MP and Boaz Kisirabo have decried the tendency of exalting some member at the expense of others.

After the incident, immediately they went into a meeting with residents who they discouraged from smuggling cows from Tanzania.
