Arrested Driver Released on Bail by Entebbe Court

Drivers at Entebbe stage Old Taxi Park irritated by how the government officials continuously destabilize taxi business.

The drivers gathered today at Entebbe court to secure bail for a colleague arrested on Thursday while coming from the burial of the deceased coworker intentionally knocked dead by the fellow taxi driver on Wednesday 15 May.

Ismail Mulindwa 30 knocked dead by Ronald Luwanda, as he was heading to the parking lot to pick his parked his taxi.

Welfare SACCO for facilitating Entebbe stage taxi drivers, the driver are complaining because of mishandling of the SACCO funds by their leaders.

They are also upset due to the way police handled Ssebijimba during the arrest and in prison, which they think was purposely to derail them.

Ssebijimba, however, thanked his fellow drivers who have stood with him during these trying moments.

Mutebi Mike Kabwama, Mayor Entebbe Division A, warned the government officials who are behind the disagreement between taxi drivers.
