Gomba Appoints Former Buddu Coach

Following their victory in the Buddu Ssaza and winning the third Masaza cup championship, Simon Dungu, who had previously been associated with Buddu has been appointed as the new coach of Gomba. This announcement was made earlier today at the Mulengera Sports Arena in Nsangi.  

Dungu previously coached the Gomba Ssaza team in 2017 and led them to victory in the cup. He will work alongside other coaches, including Assistant Coach Simon Gita, Second Assistant Edgar Bwogi, goalkeeping coach Jamaada Magaasi, and others.  

The Gomba Ssaza officials led by chairperson Andrew Musasiszi have expressed their determination to compete strongly in the 2025 Masaza cup 

Last year, Gomba did not achieve much in the competition, which left their fans disappointed. However, this time, the majority are optimistic about their chances in the cup.  

The Gomba Ssaza team has previously won the Buganda Masaza Cup five times. The 2025 Masaza Cup competitions are set to begin in the month of June.
