Al Ahly, one of Africa’s representatives at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States are officially out of the competition.
The Egyptian giants played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in their final group game at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Tuesday.
In a tops turvy game, Al Ahly looked destined for the win but conceded a late equalizer from veteran defender Pepe Lima and thus the game ended in a draw.

FC Porto on the other hand scored through Rodrigo Mora, William Gomes, Samu Aghehowa and Pepe.
Both teams eventually crushed out of the tournament, ending with two points apiece in Group A.
In the same group,  Messi’s Inter Miami also played out a 2-2 draw with Palmeiras with the lattter coming two goals down in the final ten minutes.
Palmeiras led the group on a better goal difference ahead of Inter Miami who also had five points.
Al Ahly became the second African team to exit the tournament, joining Wydad AC from Morocco who still have to play their final game on Thursday.
The other two teams representing Africa; Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa and Esperance de Tunis are still battling to secure a knockout spot.
Meanwhile Botafogo booked their place in the last 16 of the Club World Cup at the expense of Atletico Madrid, despite a 1-0 defeat by the Spanish side. Botafogo will play the winners of Group A leaders fellow Brazilian team Palmeiras while Simeone's side are out.
