KOLOLO, UGANDA – The highly anticipated Independence Night prayers, scheduled for October 29th at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, has many talking about the transformative impact of such gatherings, specifically those led by Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo of the House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI).
The conversation stems from the noticeable changes reported by residents of Kasubi Zone 2 in Lubaga North Division. Mr. Nsubuga Michael, the Chairman of the zone, directly linked the area's development to the spiritual guidance from the nearby HPMI church.
"Life has truly changed for the better in terms of development here," Nsubuga stated. He acknowledged facing various challenges but finds strength in a specific teaching from Pastor Bujjingo: "He taught us to focus on our victories, and that has been my motivation."
The emphasis on prayer and fasting was highlighted as a key factor in this positive shift. Nsubuga noted that through these practices, many local children have been able to excel in their studies, performing even better than in times when they were not engaged in prayer.
This sentiment is shared by others in the community. Mr. Alex Muhumuza, a local boda boda rider and board member in Kasubi, shared that he started his business with very little capital. He credits his perseverance and success to the principles he learned, which helped him avoid idleness.
Another resident, Mr. Daglous Kalibbala, a youth, testified to actively following the teachings of Pastor Bujjingo, which have significantly helped him in his own studies. He offered a word of caution, saying, "Those who ignore the Pastor's message face hardships; their lives cannot remain the same."
The individuals featured in this discussion extended a warm invitation to all Ugandans, encouraging them not to miss this powerful prayer event on October 26th.
