Pr Bujjingo Praises First Family’s Faith, Cites Commitment to God and Nation

Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo, has publicly lauded the First Family for their unwavering Christian faith, stating that despite their immense wealth and power, they have consistently "put God in the first place."

Pastor Aloysious Bujjingo made these remarks during his lunch hour sermon at the Canaan Land on Thursday, where he detailed his admiration for both President Yoweri Museveni and his son, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Addressing a congregation, Pastor Bujjingo highlighted General Muhoozi’s personal choices as a primary reason for his esteem. He recounted the General’s decision to join the army not out of necessity, but out of a call to service.

“By the time Gen. Muhoozi joined the army, his father was already the President. They had everything—every comfort, every privilege. Yet, he chose the difficult path of the army to serve and protect his nation. That is a testament to his character,” Bujjingo stated.

Beyond his military service, the pastor emphasized the First Son’s public devotion to his faith. “On top of that, Gen. Muhoozi cannot spend a week without recognizing that Jesus Christ is his Lord on his social media platform, X. He is not shy to proclaim his faith to the world,” Bujjingo told the gathering.

The praise extended to the entire First Family, whom Bujjingo described as deeply spiritual. He specifically pointed to Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, the President’s daughter, as a powerful prayer warrior within the family.

“In that Family, they have a pastor who can fast and pray for five hours. That is Pastor Patience Rwabwogo. This is a family that knows the power of prayer,” he revealed.

Shifting to the head of state, Pastor Bujjingo listed several reasons for his support of President Museveni, notably the government's firm stance against homosexuality.

“One of the reasons I love President Museveni is because he does not support homosexuality. He stands for the values that are aligned with our faith and our culture,” Bujjingo declared.

Concluding his sermon with a call to action, the pastor advised the congregants to be vigilant in their civic duties. He urged Christians to be discerning in their choice of leaders, emphasizing that a leader's love for God should be a primary consideration.

“Do not choose leaders who do not love God. Your vote is a powerful tool; use it to elect God-fearing individuals who will lead this nation with righteousness,” he advised.
