Mob Justice Claims Life of Suspected Boda-Boda Thief in Mubende.

A gruesome murder by mob has occurred in Nabiyungu village, Kasambya parish, Madudu sub-county, Mubende, with police launching an investigation into the incident.

 

 The unidentified victim, believed to be a boda-boda rider, was found dead in a swamp with ropes tied around his legs and hands, and a motorcycle rubber was discovered at the scene.

 

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim was suspected of theft, leading to the brutal mob justice. The suspects allegedly set the victim's motorcycle, registration number UFS 407C, ablaze, burning it to ashes.

 

The police have condemned the act of mob justice and urged the public to cooperate with the investigation. The body of the victim has been taken to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital for post-mortem examination.

 

Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.

 

SP Kawala Rachael, police spokesperson for the Wamala region, has appealed to the public to provide any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
