Hajjati Nambi Faridah, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the Kawempe North by-election, has officially launched her campaign in the Komamboga area. The by-election follows the tragic death of the former Member of Parliament for the constituency, Muhammad Ssegirinya.
Nambi began her campaign in Kanyanya, a well-known area within the constituency, where she met with local leaders and residents. She emphasized the importance of unity and urged voters to support her bid to represent them in Parliament.
During her campaign trail, Nambi visited several villages in Komamboga, engaging directly with the community. She promised to address the pressing issues facing the constituency, including poor infrastructure, unemployment, and inadequate social services. Nambi was joined by NRM leaders, including Rosemary Nansana Sseninde, the NRM Women's League Chairperson. Sseninde appealed to the residents of Kawempe North to vote for Nambi, highlighting her dedication and ability to bring development to the area.
