BUNYANGABU – The race for Bunyangabu’s parliamentary seat has officially commenced, with candidates launching their campaigns on a platform of transformative change, centring on youth empowerment and a decisive fix to the district's crippling road network.
Amidst a wave of political rallies, aspirants have passionately appealed to voters, urging them to endorse ambitious plans aimed squarely at uplifting the younger generation. These pledges encompass comprehensive skills development programs, accessible informal education, and targeted economic initiatives, with a particular emphasis on supporting vulnerable groups, such as young mothers.
The call for a "road revolution" echoed across the campaign grounds, with candidates vowing to prioritise the construction and rehabilitation of the district's dilapidated road infrastructure, long a source of frustration for residents.
Incumbent Hon. Asaba Brian positioned himself as a unifying force, outlining a vision that hinges on grassroots economic development. "My mission is to unite the people of Bunyangabu and empower our village SACCOs," he declared, asking constituents to entrust him with another term.
